Yeezy GM Jon Wexler Leaves adidas After 20 Years

General Manager of adidas Yeezy, Jon Wexler, is leaving the world brand with the Three Stripes after an incredible 20 years. Wexler left on August 31st, leaving a big gap at adidas. Both Jon and adidas themselves have confirmed this.

"My (total) 18 years at /// were the heart of my career. As my role at adidas evolved, I sought to help the brand grow through innovative partnerships and transformative collaborations with the world's most productive creatives.

From the people who gave me my first chance here, to all the incredible people I have had the pleasure of working with along the way, there are too many to thank — but I want you to know that I am deeply grateful for each and every one of you. I leave the brand with nothing more than ❤️ for adidas and the entire extended adidas family.

I am very excited about what the next chapter will bring," Jon writes in his Instagram post.

Most people know Jon Wexler mainly because of his work on the Yeezy line. Kanye West himself said in 2015 that Jon "saved his life" when they won the "Shoe of the Year" award for the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2. We also have him to thank for the fierce collabs with Pharrell Williams and Beyoncé.

What Are Jon Wexler's Next Goals?

The former marketing guru has not yet revealed his exact plans. However, in some news, he mentions that he wishes to pursue "interests outside the company.”
