Just a few days ago, Y-3 presented its Rhisu Run, which currently exists in two colourways and has a black and white Boost sole. Shortly thereafter, a new silhouette has just appeared: a Y-3 Runner 4D borrowing from adidas technology. The new design was actually inspired by Y-3 Yuuto and Y-3 Tenet and features unique adornments on the dark upper.
The new model could very well compete with the adidas Alphaedge 4D as the sole looks absolutely great on the Y-3 Runner. In addition, it comes with a diamond-shaped cage that strongly resembles the Y-3 Yuuto. The futuristic style further continues with the leather overlays in the middle and forefoot area. Along the middle portion, Yohji Yamamoto signs with a white thread, while the front part features an embossed Y-3 logo.
To top things off, adidas’ patented Digital Light Synthesis technology completes the overall design. A special feature is found right under the entire sneaker, with a 4D-printed sole in a mint green hue. The sole still appears to be an absolute favourite among sneakerheads. However, the price of 4D sneakers often don’t come cheap and it could easily burn a hole in their pockets.
Last but not least, Y-3 uses a black Continental outsole that offers maximum grip and adapts to the rather impossibly dark style of the Y-3 Runner 4D.
Don’t miss the release of the Y-3 Runner 4D!
The sneakers are supposed to be released on December 10th at Y-3 and adidas. In the release calendar of adidas, however, you can’t see the sneakers just yet.
