Why You Won't Be Able to Buy the Nike Dunk Low Disrupt "Forbidden City"

In 2020, Nike and Jordan Brand honoured Beijing's Forbidden City with a few iterations. The many sneakers have celebrated the 600th anniversary of the palace's completion. Included is this exceptional Nike Dunk Low Disrupt "Forbidden City" with a wear-away upper, possibly overshadowing all other releases.

The latest silhouette from Nike looks so classy and with such damn high quality. Pearls, new soles, and contrasting colours pay homage to everything from the palace stone steps to the rare green jade sculptures. Check out the current best images of the Nike Dunk Low Disrupt "Forbidden City" here.

These new sneakers are rich in detail from the toe box to the heels. Nevertheless, the royal pearl chains probably get the most attention. Next to them, you can see the bright overlays that wear down over time. It's as if the snow is melting during the winter solstice, exposing the statues with jade tones from the Forbidden City.

The other big highlights include the tongue tags, the inner lining, and the thick outsoles. The first two elements are coloured blue and have a marbled pattern. The outsoles also have a similar pattern, with a bright texture standing out from the rest of the parts.

The Nike Dunk Low Disrupt "Forbidden City" Was Released via Nike SNKRS China

Unfortunately, you won't get the chance to buy the Nike Dunk Low Disrupt "Forbidden City" in this country. On December 18th, you could only buy the sneakers via Nike SNKRS China for about 110€. Hopefully, some models will appear on reseller platforms like StockX.
