Vans just opened its very first "Vans Custom Culture" competition this year. Designers, artists, and regular people alike could now upload their own designs to Vans from September 5th to September 29th and also take part in the voting. By the end of September, Vans had already received over 100,000 submissions!

The second step now is to select the top 10 finalists for the competition. This is where your votes come in. You can participate by casting a vote for your favourite design in the online gallery. On October 13th, the 10 best entries will be endorsed to the Vans expert jury, who will then take a closer look at the designs. Next, the 10 best finalists will go into the third round on December 5th. By December 12th, the sneakers will be officially designed with a mentor assigned by Vans. On December 19th, three global winners will be selected and rewarded with €20,000 each, plus the opportunity of a lifetime to manufacture their very own shoe!
