Union Los Angeles Working on a Collab with the Air Jordan 4?

Update 07.08.2020

After months of speculation, the label Union has finally presented the ingenious collab with Jordan Brand. Also, Union founder Chris Gibbs explains to us how the Air Jordan 4s have their tongues turned down.

He himself always had the tongues turned over back then — a feature that we now see in these iterations. But, fans can choose the setting themselves. If you want to have the tongues in classic style, you can simply remove the seams.

Then, there are the yellowed soles. The designer wants to emphasize the vintage look that we have already seen on the Air Jordan 1 collab. There are also other silhouettes dropping, which probably nobody suspected. Union and Jordan Brand are also releasing an Air Jordan Delta Mid "Off Noir" and an Air Jordan Zoom '92 "Guava" in addition to the two AJ4s.

The official drop is happening on August 29th at unionjordanla.com.

Update 29.07.2020

For a long time now, no one has heard of the alleged collaboration between Jordan Brand and Union, but some already firmly believe that the two brands will release a two-part collab soon. On top of that, new pictures of the first drop are now available and the release is rumoured to take place on August 29th. These new pics have suddenly appeared on social media channels and already reached some fans.

Jordan Brand and Union are expected to choose bold colours for the classic Air Jordan 4 to create a unique look. In addition to this, some elements have remained unchanged, like the Air Jordan label on the inside of the tongue. In this version, the label is simply flipped forward and the TPU wings are completely filled out — a feature that reminds us of an early Tinker Hatfield version.

We will, of course, continue to watch out for more updates on the Union x Air Jordan 4 and will inform you in time. Get the Grailify app and always be up to date.

Los Angeles-based brand Union is known for its unique Air Jordan 1 collab. The two editions of 1 Jordan are among the best colourways ever imagined. Now, it seems that the pioneers from Los Angeles are starting a new project. At least that's what founder Chris Gibbs shows us with a post on Twitter.

In the post, @unionlosangeles shows a sketch of the Air Jordan 4, which is originally from Tinker Hatfield. Could this be the very first hint of a new edition of the '88 Sneaker? Union could be redesigning a lot of parts. On the picture, you can see a Durabuck overlay on the mudguard with a zebra print and a "BREATHABILITY" lettering right above the tongue referring to the breathable mesh tongue.

So far, the streetwear label has not yet revealed any further details. A new collaboration is still very much possible though. It is quite clear that this version would rock, too.
