Queens-based skate label Bronze 56k have set themselves a very specific goal as part of their third collaboration with Reebok. They want to offer people the opportunity to see New York City through their lens and thus feel the energy of the metropolis themselves.
The two collaborative partners use the legendary Classic Leather and the Answer IV as the basis for their ambitious idea. The pack pays homage to the city by applying a colour mix of blue and orange to both models. This is familiar to the famous Major League Baseball team New York Mets. The low-cut Classic Leather uses these colours much more generously than the Answer IV and places them primarily underneath the suede overlays. The basketball model of the collaboration is much more minimalistic, which is why a large part of the upper is wrapped in an off-white hue. Only the rubber outsole, a print of a blue dice, and the branding on the tongue form a visible contrast.
Bronze 56k founder Peter Sidlauskas attributes different meanings to the two models: "The Classic Leather is more simple, casual, while the Iverson is more technical and aggressive. I think they are opposites, but at the same time, that makes them complementary."
