The Air Jordan 5 "What The" Is a Real Banger

Update 21.07.2020

A week has passed since the first leaks of the crazy "What The" release. Thanks to @retroshoparis, we now have a much better view on the wicked shoe.

Now, it has become clear that this Air Jordan 5 is not just any "What The" release, because the shoe actually combines eight different Air Jordan 5 legends!

Let's start with the red shoe. This colourway is clearly inspired by the 2009 Raging Bull, with the colours of the great Bel-Air from 2013 on the collar and the Green Bean from 2006 on the shoe. The style is rounded off with the crazy neon-green outsole of the Player Exclusive from the Quai54 tournament in 2011 and the yellow logo from 2013 Shanghai on the heel. Phew, that's quite a lot of colours for just one shoe!

Now, let's take a look at the one on the right. The yellow upper, which we know from the Tokyo release in 2011, is very striking. The "Bel-Air" shoe also has room on the shoe, on the outsole and midsole. The tongue and collar of the shoe are inspired by the "Army Olive" and the "Laser".

This thing is just wild and most sneakerheads will have some difficulties to match all colourways. We’ve also been waiting a really long time for this.

So far, there is still no release date, but some sources are suspecting a drop on November 7th, 2020. We will keep you informed, of course!

Original article 14.07.2020

The Air Jordan 5 appeared several times in 2020. Jordan Brand released a number of legendary colourways for the fans. These include the great collab with Virgil Abloh as well as the old classic "Fire Red", but it seems that the brand with the Jumpman still has some ideas to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

In fact, pictures of a new Air Jordan 5 "What The" have appeared on the net. Unfortunately, the pictures are still very obscure. But we do recognize an asymmetrical colourway.

One shoe is supposed to be red and the other shoe will probably be yellow. There are also some small details that remind us of the "Tokyo23" and "Raging Bulls" as well as a sock lining inspired by the "Laser" and "Bel-Air".

When Could the Air Jordan 5 "What The" Be Released?

There's still very little information out on the Air Jordan 5 "What The", but we will definitely stay on it and inform you in time.
