Another silhouette from Beaverton celebrates a big anniversary this year. The legendary Air Jordan 11 will be an incredible 25 years old. In 1995, Michael Jordan wore the first Jordan 11 in a game. What many may not know is that MJ's first pair was actually a sample.

On that day, fans probably could only concentrate on one thing. Should they watch the game or the sneakers? Commentator Ahmad Rashad took a minute to talk about the new shiny sneakers from His Airness. It took a year before the sneakers were finally released and after 25 years, the Air Jordan 11 has not lost its shine.

Among the latest releases could be the Air Jordan 11 "25th Anniversary". The first pictures of a completely black Air Jordan 11 have just appeared on the net. The light mesh and shiny patent leather overlays are completely black. In addition, there are metallic brandings on the sides as well as a white midsole and an opaque outsole.

But sneakerheads and fans will probably be looking at the unique and metallic "JORDAN" branding that can be seen on the eyelets. It's the first time we are seeing this feature — something that Tinker Hatfield supposedly wanted to use years ago.

The Air Jordan 11 "25th Anniversary" is scheduled for a release later this year. Rumour has it that the pair may drop on December 12th at Nike and selected retailers.
