The Air Jordan 1 Low Now Also Gets a "Wear Away" Makeover

Wear-away materials are nothing new for Nike. The sporting goods manufacturer recognised the trend very early and released several sneakers that feature a wearable upper. Most recently, for example, we saw a new Air Jordan 1 Mid "Wear-Away" as well as a new Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT in the popular wear-away look.

Now, another top seller gets this unique makeover — the Air Jordan 1 Low.

Usually, you wear a wear-away sneaker until the extra layer wears off and reveals a new style. But the new Air Jordan 1 Low "Wear Away" has already been pre-worn, as the black overlays are slightly worn away to reveal an orange paint job.

A white leather base then remains unobtrusive so as not to deviate too much from the effect. This includes a white toebox, white side panels, and a clean collar. A slightly yellowed midsole and black outsoles then appear at the very bottom.
