Update 06.04.2022

Today, Nike has sent us the official images of the Union LA x Air Jordan 2 "Rattan". So far, only the release in the USA has been confirmed. The sneakers will be released there on April 15th. Fans are hoping for better bot protection so that not many pairs are bought by a single buyer.

It is still unclear whether the shoes will also be released here, but we will follow the drop and inform you of any important updates.

We have just taken our first look at the second Union x Air Jordan 2 colourway. The other variant has the same build, with the blue details swapped for a sunny yellow.

Not only has Off-White prepared two Air Jordan 2's, but Union LA will also lay its hands on the silhouette. The label has prepared two tall versions. One of them is this Union x Air Jordan 2 "Grey Fog" with blue piping and perforated sides. Further up, additional retro-style shields adorn the sneakers as Union LA adds the typical yellow shield next to the laces. Finally, the exposed tongues and luminous insoles complete the overall design.

You can take a first look at the sneakers here. Unfortunately, no exact release date has been given yet, but they are expected to drop in spring 2022 for 225$.

Update 27.10.2021

There is a small update on the new collection from Union and Jordan Brand. Leakers have now shown two possible mockups in the colourways "Grey Fog/Siren Red/Light Smoke Grey" and "Rattan/Siren Red/Beach/Orange Peel". Confirmation from the labels is unfortunately still lacking, but the two Union x Air Jordan 2's are supposedly a continuation of the vintage-inspired Air Jordan 1 collabs from 2018. Jordan Brand made no mention of a comeback, but it feels like the Air Jordan 2 will soon fill the release calendar again. More and more leaks are showing another version, and today, insiders are reporting another model.

While we are still eagerly waiting for the two Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Lows, rumours about a possible Union x Air Jordan 2 are surfacing. The first images are unfortunately not yet available, but the partners are reportedly already planning the collaboration.

Union and Jordan Brand may focus on a mid-cut version of Michael Jordan's second signature shoe. The duo is also said to be planning multiple colourways for 2022.

The Air Jordan 2 hasn't been the most popular silhouette in the sneaker game so far, but with partners like Off-White and Union, it could be a lot hipper. We'll continue to follow it over the next year and let you know if there are any updates.
