PUMA Confirms an Official Partnership with J. Cole
Jermaine Lamarr Cole and PUMA have now announced an official partnership. In the short film, "The Dreamer", we see J. Cole, who himself was involved in the film and co-directed it as a child. In his younger years, Cole dreamed of pursuing a basketball career. With PUMA, Cole shows the rapper's long way to the top as well as the heavy dunk among others from the NBA All-Star Game 2019.
Shortly afterwards, PUMA drops the new silhouette Sky Dreamer: a high-cut basketball shoe that reflects the style of the '80s. PUMA uses novel and modern performance technology and applies it in the PUMA Sky Dreamer.
But, the collab with PUMA has been suspected many times before. Recently, J. Cole has been seen with the new sneakers. The shoe's main details are a firm strap, a high collar, and the ProFoam cushioning.
"Our partnership with Cole is deeply rooted," said Adam Petrick, PUMA Global Director Brand & Marketing. "Cole is involved in product development, marketing campaigns and cultural consulting. He will play a key role in many of the things we will be doing at PUMA in the future and we look forward to working with him not only on the product level but more importantly as one of our athletes. Cole sits at the intersection of music and sports and represents everything PUMA stands for as a brand."
