This year marks the 75th anniversary of Jackie Robinson's major league debut at Ebbets Field on April 15th, 1947, and the Beaverton-based brand is celebrating with a special version of the popular Dunk Low.
The Nike Dunk Low "Jackie Robinson" features a Brooklyn Dodgers-inspired colour scheme with a light leather upper for the base, along with blue overlays. An additional feature is Jackie's quote, "I'm not concerned with you liking or disliking me... all I ask is that you respect me as a human being."
Other special details include 75th anniversary patches on the tongue, commemorating Jackie Robinson's breaking of the colour barrier in baseball in '47. Also, his jersey number "42" adorns the heels of the Nike Dunk Low "Jackie Robinson".
