Nike Air Max 90 LX Illusion Green

Nike shows the '90s sneaker in different designs this year. The sneakers may take on a clean look in white, different materials are combined or a totally wicked style is released.

This is because of its upcoming 30th anniversary. The Nike Air Max 90 will in fact be 30 years old this year. We've seen it in many versions over the years, but this colourway raises the bar yet again.

With this version, the Beaverton design team probably gave free rein to their creativity. It seems that no two pieces fit together. The upper mixes a variety of materials such as corduroy, suede and basketball rubber. The colours also contrast strongly with each other.

The mudguard shows an animal leopard print, while the upper cord and Swoosh accentuate in a soft pastel shade. But these are not the only highlights that adorn the sneaker. The tongue and the insoles do without the typical Nike signature and instead score with a cheerful flower and a Swoosh for a smile.
