Nike Air Force 1 Year of the Tiger Release Info
Every year, Nike releases a matching sneaker collection as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations, focusing on the characteristics of the respective animal in the calendar. This year, the tiger is immortalised on a variety of silhouettes and has also found its place on the legendary Air Force 1.
The base of the sneaker is made of a soft canvas material, which is wrapped in a clean "Sail" colour, covering almost the entire shoe. The Swoosh is based on the typical tiger pattern and therefore impresses us with its black and yellow tones. The tongue tags and insole also use this colour composition, with the former being equipped with China-inspired branding.
Another special feature are the childlike tiger graphics on the rear outside of the Air Force, which present many different colours and refer to the connection to the Chinese New Year. The heel counter matches the orange outsole in terms of colour, while the inner lining is wrapped in a rich red. Blue accents on the inside of the shoe tongue finish off the sneaker perfectly.
