Grateful Dead Bears x Nike SB Dunk Low Yellow

After several months and numerous updates, we now have the official release notes from Grateful Dead and Nike to talk about the Grateful Dead Bears x Nike SB Dunk Low "Green" and "Yellow". The characteristic design element of the collaboration between the rock band and the brand with the Swoosh are the lovable and marching bears that were featured on the back of the 1973 Grateful Dead record.

The marching bears have been part of the group for years and were inspired by an audio engineer nicknamed "Bear" who helped develop the group's wall of sound system and cartoon symbol.

Since then, the Bears have often been associated with the group and are now undoubtedly an important part of the history and heritage of the Grateful Dead.

Grateful Dead and Nike are releasing a total of three colourways focusing on the looks of three cute bears. The pairs come with a two-tone upper and are mainly made of suede and faux fur. They also have a jagged Swoosh reminiscent of the bears' collars.

Actually, there are five bears on the cover of the record. But why Nike has only chosen to release three pairs is not clear. The "Yellow" is mostly coloured yellow and has characteristic brandings and special tongue tags with the Nike logo.

Additionally, the shoes have a hidden Steal Your Face skull on the inside of the tongue. The design is rounded off by the colour-coordinated midsole and outsole.

This cop is going to be very difficult. Some are probably already waiting for the release of the sneakers. We’re assuming a drop at Nike and selected skate shops, with the "Orange" only dropping at the FTC shop in San Francisco.
