The adidas Superstar is one of the most famous silhouettes with an age of more than half a century, and yet the design team from Herzogenaurach seems to have nowhere near enough ideas to further upgrade the shell-toe sneaker. For a new colourway, the Superstar relies on a casual patchwork style and channels a rich green. Added to this are recycled materials to fight plastic waste.

As usual, the pair is made of smooth white leather, and the shell toe and sole unit are made of matching white rubber. The signature side stripes and heel tab are also in a bright hue. It’s one solid sneaker, though it does not really have any new features.
What’s more fun are the overlays and the combination of classy details. Different parts are attached on top, creating a seemingly random patchwork design. Sustainable features include partially recycled upper, with 20% of the upper made of at least 50% recycled materials.
