Nike Air Force 1 - History of the Sneaker Veteran
In 1982, a certain Bruce Kilgore was hired by Nike for a very special mission. His goal was to design a functional and modern basketball shoe that would meet the demands of the b-ball community. Above all, it should offer a certain stability for a wide range of movements and at the same time remain incredibly comfortable. Of course, what made it much easier to meet these demands was the then highly innovative Nike Air technology. Many people only know it from the Nike Air Max models, but the brand with the Swoosh naturally uses the special qualities in other shoes as well. For the first time back then, this technology allowed basketball players better cushioning for their running and jumping work, which was absolutely essential in every match. Today, the air-filled midsole continues to offer excellent comfort and support, as it is additionally supported by lateral padding. At the same time, it supports the movement sequences in basketball and minimises the risk of injury with the help of the innovative cushioning. This approach sounds very pragmatic and not at all like the sneaker icon as we know it today.
But it was precisely the aesthetic of the shoe that brought about its current fame. The Nike Air Force 1 has experienced the typical Nike fate: originally developed for sporting purposes and ultimately becoming an absolute sneaker icon. That's also the motto for this original. Nike seems to have a knack for wrapping its shoes in enormous hype and making them world-famous.
Nike Air Force 1 - The Hottest Releases of the Giant
We have already mentioned that this model in particular has accumulated a lot of colourways and variants over the last few years. In the meantime, around 2,000 models of the Nike Air Force 1 have been released. Well, if that's not a damn big number, then we don't know what is. With all the designs and options, it's hard to keep track of everything. We want to show you the releases that cater to every taste. But please don't forget, the Air Force 1 still has around 1,998 other models to offer. 😉
- The Nike Air Force 1 Swoosh Pack Triple Black brings an interesting novelty to the game. People will now ask themselves one way or the other: What makes an all-black shoe so special, then? The answer is quite simple, because with the help of the new Swoosh Pack, you are able to choose your very own accents on the shoe. Also included are different coloured Swooshes, which you can change depending on your mood. The six different options offer you a nice possibility for individualisation. The Triple Black is also a good choice for minimalists. By the way, if you don't like black, the Triple White version should make you just as happy.
- If you like it a bit more gaudy and eye-catching, you should take a closer look at the Nike Air Force 1 Orange Camo. But one thing you should know beforehand is that Nike completely misses the point of camouflage with this model. The look achieves anything but camouflage, and the word "crazy" probably describes it best. We get to see a very striking upper with white, pink, black, and orange patches of colour. Perhaps we can all agree that this shoe is a bit special and will definitely not be to everyone's taste. But if you're the type who basically maintains a distance from subtle designs, you'll be more than happy with this colourway!
