Nike's "First Use" Collection Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Swoosh

Update 25.06.2021

Almost daily, we receive detailed images of new Nike sneakers that expand the great Nike "First Use" collection. Today, it's a tonal Nike Dunk High "First Use University Gold". Similar to previous models, the sneaker features a suede/leather construction, with the elements painted gold this time. The release date is unfortunately still unclear, but Nike is expected to drop the sneaker in the next few days.

Update 24.06.2021

More and more silhouettes and colourways are filling up the Nike "First Use" collection. Today, we take a look at the official images of two new Dunk High colourways. The sneakers come with red and orange accents, though the former is a slight understatement. "University Red" almost completely covers the upper, while "Sail"-coloured details adorn the titular details, laces, and midsoles.

Update 10.06.2021

Nike's "First Use" collection is extended by a new model every day. Numerous different silhouettes can already call themselves part of the unique pack, which thus offers a great variety. Now, another Dunk High in the very eye-catching "University Red" colourway will be released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Swoosh.

This CW uses an all bright red leather upper with suede overlays and the pack's signature date placed below the outlined Swoosh on the outside. Double lacing, signature gold dubraes, and a white midsole are also important features of the shoe. A red outsole then completes the overall design.

The first images of the Dunk High First Use in "University Red" are already available, but unfortunately, there is no new information on the release of the shoe or the entire pack. We will keep you up to date!

Update 07.06.2021

The "First Use" collection is apparently going to be massive! Just a few days after the latest leaks, images of a rad vintage-looking Nike Air Force 1 are now surfacing. This shoe also uses a classic white Air Force 1 silhouette as a base, which has been pimped with numerous highlights.

The dark and light blue tones are striking. The large Swoosh on the outside is in a relatively dark hue, while the outsole and lining are in a light baby blue. This shoe also features the metallic gold lace dubraes from the "First Use" pack and the Nike vintage logo.

Update 04.06.2021

More and more images of sneakers from the so-called "First Use" collection have been released in recent days. The special pack celebrates the creation of the legendary Swoosh and pays tribute to it in various ways. If you look at the official images of the respective shoes in detail, you could almost assume that they don't belong to the same collection. Be sure to check out the images of the three latest shoes!

The Air Force 1 First Use Black has a simple design with a plain black leather upper contrasted by white stitching, Swooshes, lining, and laces. The cracked leather on the heel, branded insoles, and a gold lace lock also add cool accents. A white midsole combined with a black outsole round off the minimalist colourway perfectly.

In addition, we get a light-coloured version of the Nike Air Force 1 First Use, which is obviously the black version's counterpart. The shoe is equipped with a sail-coloured leather upper and suede overlays. This colourway also features cracked leather on the heel, but this time, it is wrapped in a bright orange. A blue leather Swoosh is found on both outer sides of the shoe, while the inner sides have a green-edged Swoosh. We already know this from the Dunk High in a similar design, which is why the year the Swoosh was created is shown below it again. The double lacing, the characteristic gold diamond-set Swoosh lace locks, as well as a combination of a gum outsole and a white midsole round off the design perfectly.

Finally, pics of a second colourway of the Nike Air VaporMax EVO have also been uploaded, which bears great similarities to the previous Air Force 1. The sneaker features a mix of beige hues and blue accents adorning the mesh, suede, and plastic overlays. This release also features the signature diamond-set Swoosh lace locks and the familiar 3M reflective details.

For days, Nike has been unveiling images of several sneakers celebrating the origin of the Nike logo. The huge collection is called "First Use", and the focus is clearly the voluminous Swoosh on the outsides. So far, the pack has been filled with a handful of Air Force 1's, Air Max 90's, and a Blazer Mid, with this Nike Dunk High "First Use" being the latest addition.

Apart from paying special homage to Nike's first logo, the model also features a clean base that fans are likely to love. The upper is made of leather and suede, which is dipped in a light "Sail" hue. Other accents include dark green Swooshes and double-tiered laces with "Sail" detailing.

Have you always wondered what the first Swoosh looked like? The outer branding on the Nike Dunk High "First Use" shows you. The tips of the logo do not enclose the entire heel, and 50 years ago, the Swoosh looked more bulbous. Underneath, the traditional "First Use June 18th, 1971" adorns the branding and the insoles.

When the Nike Dunk High "First Use" Could Drop

The 50th anniversary of the Swoosh is June 18th, and therefore, many fans expect a release of the entire collection on that day. However, Nike hasn't given any details yet.
