Nike Expands Its Range of Sustainable Sneakers

If the first sneakers from the great "Plant Cork" collection weren't enough for you, you will soon get another offering of sustainable shoes. Nike now shares these good news and announces a new Flyleather collection that will be released very soon.

Later this summer, we can get our hands on the new sneakers from the Nike Flyleather collection. The package consists of two models: a Nike Air Force 1 Flyleather and a Nike Blazer Low Flyleather, designed together with Tokyo-born artist Mayumi Yamase. The upper is made of at least 50% recycled leather fibres. Yamase's colourful aesthetic is inspired by her belief in community as a creative.

"Community gives me a sense of comfort and fun in my daily life, but it also stretches my imagination and surprises me, leading to discoveries in my own art that challenge my expectations," she says.

When Will the Nike Flyleather Collection Be Released?

The collection, featuring the Nike Air Force 1 Flyleather and the Nike Blazer Low Flyleather, drops 19 May at Nike SNKRS, NikeLab MA5, and DSM Ginza (Tokyo).
