Nike and Kyrie Irving Release the SpongeBob SquarePants Collection

Last week some sneakerheads had the opportunity to get a pair of Kyrie's Spongebob SquarePants Collection. Via Nike SNKRS a limited number were dropped in the "SpongeBob" and "Patrick" colourways. Now Nike presents the complete collection and announces the official release for August 10th on Nike SNKRS and at selected retailers.

Kyrie Irving had teased us recently with the upcoming collab with Nickelodeon and the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. The collection consists of five pairs inspired by the show's Bikini Bottom inhabitants.

SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, Thaddäus, Mr. Krabs and Sandy immortalize themselves on the Kyrie 5 and Kyrie Low 2. Each sneaker gets a specific colourway from the respective characters. SpongeBob fans will love the bright yellow Kyrie 5 with white and red details reminiscent of his shirt and tie, or a clean white sneaker with brown lining inspired by SpongeBob's best friend Sandy Cheek and her white diving suit. In addition, the SpongeBob or Patrick sneaker features handwritten character names behind the tongue portion. It is most likely that the other three pairs will also be have this special feature.
