Nike Basketball unveils Ja Morant as the newest athlete in its signature programme. Morant is the first Generation Z athlete to be signed by Nike Basketball. His bold and fearless play shows the evolution of the sport and sets the tone for modern basketball culture. Morant is a role model for other athletes of his generation and has become a global star through his unmatched athleticism and exciting style of play. His signature logo is inspired by his dynamic precision and determined approach to the game. On Christmas Day 2022, Morant unveiled his first signature shoe, the Nike Ja 1. More details on this shoe will be announced in early 2023.

Shams Charania, senior NBA insider for The Athletic, confirms that Nike and Ja Morant have been hard at work over the past few months on the basketball player's first signature sneaker. Reportedly, the sneakers will be released "in the near future". We will inform you when new details are known.

For the past few years, Ja Morant and Nike have been heavily collaborating. Morant often appeared in Nike sweatsuits and rotated signature sneakers from KD and Kobe several times. Additionally, after an electrifying season, the NBA basketball player has certainly earned the right to a first signature sneaker.

According to rumours, Nike and the Memphis Grizzlies phenom are reportedly planning a first signature sneaker. The model is to be called Nike Ja 1, which may drop next year.

Three colourways are possibly already planned. The three colourways are said to be "Phantom/Action Green", "Cobalt Bliss/Citron Tint", and "Game Royal/Black". Unfortunately, no further details on the models exist at this time.
