After the official unveiling of Dior and Jordan Brand, we now take a look at Nike's next work. Together with Converse, both brands will be celebrating Black History Month in the coming weeks. The BHM is a very special month in the USA as well as in Canada. Since 1926, it has been drawing much attention to the history of African Americans.

Nike and Converse are dropping a Black History Month collection once again this year. In the said collection, sneakerheads will find the classic Nike Air Force 1 as well as the Nike Air Max 95 and the popular Converse Chuck 70 and Pro Leather. This year in particular, the colourful iterations seem to be distinctively loud.

The silhouettes are inspired by multi-coloured editions of the early '90s and African textures and patterns. The AF1 and AM95 are particularly colourful. A black base as well as vibrant colours like red, blue, yellow, and green characterize the AF1 "BHM", while the Air Max 95 "BHM" shows less black and significantly expands its colour palette.

On the other hand, the Converse's sneakers are less conspicuous. The Chuck 70 comes with a split yellow/green base and scores with red laces. Finally, the Pro Leather is probably the subtlest of the collection. Its green materials and purple laces remind of the Black History Month celebration.

One can assume that these sneakers will be in great demand. So far, the exact release date is not out yet. However, insiders are already suspecting a release in February at selected retailers and Nike. The Black History Month starts on February 1st and ends on February 29th.
