National Geographic is known for its articles on science, geography, history and world culture. Now, the magazine is launching a five-piece shoe collection with the Vans label and it includes the silhouettes Authentic, Classic Slip-On, Era, Old Skool and Sk8-Hi.

The images of exploration as well as National Geographic documentaries are oftentimes breathtaking. In fact, they're so stunning that Vans now wants to put these images on its sneakers. Every single shoe looks individual and unique.

The Authentic, for example, has been artistically covered with the ocean, while the Slip-On shows a picture of the Greenlandic Pine Island glacier and the Old Skool presents the Mexican wolf and the red-eyed tree frog on the sides.

Here, you can see the first pictures of the five-piece collection of National Geographic x Vans. The five pairs will appear on June 1st at selected retailers like 43einhalb and they cost between 75€ and 95€.
