Looking back at the past few months, we have definitely seen a lot of Dunks. Not only did the silhouette appear in several colourways, but it also made some advancements in shape and material selection. Nike took the classic to the lab and experimented with its construction for some new iterations.

The result surprised even the most seasoned sneakerheads and hypebeasts. Alongside the Nike Dunk High Rebel, designed specifically for women, came this Nike Dunk Low Scrap. It's a silhouette that may have caused a little confusion at the beginning, but quickly became a favourite.

The fresh version of the basketball sneaker was released a few days ago in a light "Sea Glass" colourway, and now, the colourway comes in a dark version. For the second installment, the Beaverton-based brand has created a seasonal Nike Dunk Low Scrap "Archeo Brown". We took a look at the new Dunks and show you the details here.

Style - Your New Sneaker for Autumn?

A release date for the Nike Dunk Low Scrap "Archeo Brown" has not yet been revealed, but the muted, earthy colours hint at a possible fall drop. The wild upper of the new model is a healthy mix of leather, suede, and lightweight mesh. The titular "Archeo Brown" hue will be much harder to find.

Side midfoot panels are in the chocolatey "Archeo Brown" hue, which also carries over to the tongues and to box. They are held together by bluish-green stitching on the outer, as well as inner surfaces. Further earthy hits adorn the forefoot and inner lining.

The yellow and purple inserts on the midfoot and forefoot of the Nike Dunk Low Scrap "Archeo Brown", on the other hand, look much more lively. They reinforce the deconstructed look of the sneaker, while Nike's embroidered insignia on the tongue and heel complete the overall design.

New Shell - Old Core: The Technical Details

Perhaps the Dunk Low Scrap seems quite foreign, but at its core, the sneakers remain traditional. The supple leather gets even softer with time and improves comfort. Added to that are the random mesh parts that improve the breathability from the Nike Dunk Low Scrap "Archeo Brown" and reduce the weight a bit.

Underneath, lightweight and responsive midsoles cushions every step. They are white and contrast with the grippy brown rubber soles, which, by the way, match the colour of the upper very well. In addition, the patterns on the soles increase traction, and a basketball pivot point completes the whole retro look.

Our Conclusion on the Nike Dunk Low Scrap "Archeo Brown"

We've rarely seen such a crazy colour combination, but with the wild Dunk, we definitely like the design. In our opinion, the Nike Dunk Low Scrap "Archeo Brown" is a dream sneaker for autumn. The muted colours harmonise perfectly and may even open doors for completely different colour patterns. The release date is unfortunately not yet known, but we will inform you in upcoming updates. Fit is True To Size, by the way.
