When you hear the name Vapormax, you probably think of the voluminous Vapormax Air unit underneath the shoe. Hardly any other silhouette has such an unmistakable detail as the Vapormax. In the past years and months, the model has been placed on the table and reworked again and again. New colourways certainly shine a great deal on the sneaker. Those latest colourways also show a new silhouette at the same time.

At the moment, time travel is especially on trend. Ultimately, past meets future. The Nike Air Vapormax 360 combines the '90s style of the Air Max 360 with the futuristic Vapormax. The version impresses with its flashy upper and the many details and different materials.

Soon, several colourways of the Nike Air Vapormax 360 will be released for the ladies and gents.  We are proud to present to you two of these releases: the Nike Air Vapormax 360 WMNS "Fossil" for the ladies and the version in "Red" for the men. 

First, a hybrid must prove itself in the sneaker community. The Nike Air Vapormax 360 mixes the upper of the Air Max 360 with the sole unit of the Vapormax.  But, with these two versions, we would rather go for the "Fossil". The sneaker has a creamy synthetic upper that still looks very modern today. Due to the light mesh tongue and the small perforated slits, the sneakers remain permanently breathable.

But, probably the biggest details will immediately catch your eye and are definitely worth mentioning. The new models do without the typical embroidered Swoosh but instead focus on a modern jeweled Swoosh with a metallic look. A slight iridescent touch attracts every glance. The Nike Air Vapormax 360 is a great example of how Nike takes pride in its trademark. The upper features five Swooshes in total. In addition, there are three Swooshes on the outer side and two on the inner portion.

The differences between the Fossil and the Red are clearly visible. The "Fossil" has a silver mudguard while the "Red" has a red one. Admittedly, the "Red" looks quite striking. On-feet, however, it looks very subtle and even gets a bit lost in the perfect outfit. A small "2020" print on the eyelets points to its debut this year and rounds off the overall style.

But, if you reach for a Vapormax, you probably only have the Air unit in mind. Due to the foam midsole and the Vapormax Air unit, you will get maximum cushioning and a reactive feel while walking.

Additionally, the soft shoe collar cushions the lateral movements and guarantees a comfortable fit. The tongue is also designed to be halfway inside the liner and tightly encloses the foot, while the firm TPU frame surrounds the heel and increases the grip of the shoe.

Part of the process of maintaining a sneaker release calendar is sometimes stepping out of line and giving an honest opinion. The silhouette definitely has a fresh update. But, the details on the upper are rather wild, thus making the sneakers a bit uncomfortable. The eye-catching colours do reinforce other aspects of the shoe. Those who like clean colourways will definitely recommend the "Fossil". However, the cream-coloured upper does not underline the striking details as much. The release date for the sneakers is January 30th.
