The recent developments today are simply pure madness! Meanwhile, even sneakers are combined with the latest technologies and carefully perfected. GORE-TEX and Nike are among the most diligent researchers that do just that, and together they are releasing another futuristic innovation.

GORE-TEX is a name that is no longer new to us. Based in Newark, Delaware, the brand is a leader in PTFE processing. An artificially produced polymer composed of fluorine and carbon that we know as GORE-TEX is a unique technology that fights bad weather and protects feet particularly from cold and wet seasons.

Nike had already worked with GORE-TEX before. Back then, the manufacturers released a running shoe with this very technology.

For the coming autumn and winter seasons, there are four weatherproof sneakers from Nike and GORE-TEX: a Nike Air Force 1 GORE-TEX Low in black, olive green, gold/khaki, and yellow. The roadworthy design of the AF1 Low is heading towards autumn. The waterproof membrane is used in the midfoot area and toe box, while the remaining inserts are made of full grain leather. The additional branding on the side heels and tongues show the collaboration between the two manufacturers. The black and olive green models have an orange/gold GORE-TEX branding and the yellow and khaki versions have black markings. In addition, each model has the familiar Nike Air logo on the heel and colour-matching flat laces to complement the overall look.

All models are tight-fitting and have a dry feel thanks to GORE-TEX technology. The Nike Air sole provides superior cushioning, while the durable rubber outsole is stain-proof and offers excellent traction and durability. The additional padding on the collar provides ultimate comfort and does not pinch on the sides.

Most of you probably miss the perforated leather on the toe box. GORE-TEX has also thought of this. The membrane is waterproof, windproof, and breathable all at the same time.
