It's no coincidence that Nike is reviving its beloved classic, the Nike Air Force 1, in numerous versions. The legendary silhouette turns 40 this year! That's right, because Bruce Kilgore designed the sneaker in 1982. Of course, the sportswear manufacturer from Beaverton will not miss this anniversary and will therefore present several special versions.

Not only old friends were invited to the birthday, but also new partners got a chance to create their own version of the AF1. Billie Eilish, for example, designed a totally crazy Nike Air Force 1 High that has several Velcro straps. Rumour has it that Nike and the singer-songwriter are even working on a second Nike Air Force 1 as we speak.

Another highlight marking the 40th anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1 is that Louis Vuitton is preparing a strictly limited edition multi-part Air Force 1 collection. The models appear in different colourways and were originally designed by Virgil Abloh. Typical off-white and LV details adorn the nine sneakers from the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 collection.
