In less than two years, LaMelo Ball has made himself and his PUMA MB.01 a fixture in the NBA. Next up, the 20-year-old basketball player and the German sporting goods manufacturer are planning a new colourway of the popular silhouette. The PUMA MB.01 "Queen City" is entirely inspired by the same city in North Carolina. The sneakers have not yet been scheduled in Europe, but a release on March 18th is suspected on puma.com.

There's no denying it anymore. The PUMA MB.01 is currently one of the hottest performance basketball and lifestyle sneakers on the market. Fans are heavily discussing LaMelo Ball's new silhouette, and ever since the basketball player unveiled a new pair during All-Star Weekend, the sneakers have been shooting back up to #1 on sneaker blog news feeds.

The new PUMA MB.01 by LaMelo Ball could be another Hornets-inspired colourway, which is is reminiscent of the Charlotte Hornets jerseys. The upper and the soles come in a purple style and is accentuated with different shades.

The tongues and laces follow suit, with the NBA star's logo appearing on the tongues in light blue. To complete the design, the sneakers have a purple sole and shiny X stripes at the bottom.

Where the New PUMA MB.01 Could Drop

Currently, there are still three unreleased PUMA MB.01 on the PUMA release calendar. It is possible that this sneaker will be added to the list soon. More details can be found at PUMA.
