Draymond Green Signs a Deal with Converse

Update 28.12.2021

It's been almost two years since the deal between Draymond Green and Converse. For Christmas, we finally got to see a new basketball shoe of the Golden State Warrior at the game against the Phoenix Suns.

The colourway of the shoe, of which we have not yet been able to find out a name, is a mix of circular black and white patterns. The colours of the upper extend over the entire shoe, all the way to the outsole. The shoe is rounded off with gold Converse branding on the tongue.

Unfortunately, there is no further information about the release so far. We don't even know the name yet. However, we will keep you updated here and in our free Grailify app!

Update 09.03.2020

The confirmation came quicker than expected. Nike has just announced the newest member of the family. Draymond Green will soon be a full member of Converse. The three-time NBA champion from the Golden State Warriors is one of the best players in the league. In 2017, he received an award as Best Defensive Player. Draymond and his team also won the championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018.

"Converse is family. When you talk about the brand, you're talking about legends like Julius 'Dr J' Erving, and other greats," says Green. "It's an exciting challenge to create a squad that lives up to these expectations, and if I can beat it with the family? Sweeter is not possible."

Shortly before the Converse G4 release, Green joins the Converse family. He will probably also debut the latest performance sneaker. The new silhouette scores with two popular Nike technologies: one is the Nike React cushioning in the heel and the other is the Nike Air Zoom in the front. The Converse G4 is also available in a high and low cut versions.

This could very well be Converse's biggest deal since Dwyane Wade. According to reports, Golden State Warriors basketball pro Draymond Green will be signing a shoe deal with Converse. We were told of this today by ESPN senior and NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Among the latest stars are Kelly Oubre Jr. and Eric Avar, who had the privilege to release the All-Star Pro BB. Adrian Wojnarowski himself says that the deal is one of the biggest ones ever. And, it’s possibly even the best deal since Dwyane Wade. Before Dwyane signed with Li-Ning and Jordan Brand, the basketball pro was the best NBA player at Converse. His deal with Brand lasted from 2003 to 2009.

Until recently, Draymond Green became the face of advertising for Nike. Beaverton equipped him with special PEs. Now, we will see the 6'5" athlete on Converse. Unfortunately the exact details about this collaboration are still missing. We will definitely keep you up to date.
