Converse Renew Opts for Sustainability with Its Three-Process Recycling Line

The timeless and characteristic silhouette of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is truly iconic and it would be difficult to imagine a time when it didn’t exist. Chuck Taylor was an American basketball player who is still known today, thanks to the Chuck Taylor All Star brand that has become so popular because of its distinct style and variety of colors and designs.

Now, Converse is facing one of the biggest challenges of our time, shifting towards more environmentally conscious with sustainable methods by innovating their means of manufacturing using post-consumer and post-industrial waste.

The Chuck Taylor All Star launches the new line via its three-way renewal process: upcyling textiles (Converse Renew Denim), recycled PET, (Converse Renew Canvas) and recycled blends of cotton and canvas (Renew Cotton)—breathing new life to tons of waste that are plaguing the world today.

A big green thumbs up from us! Converse Renew's first ever ecological kicks will be out in the market soon, with their All Stars and Chuck 70s Converse Renew Canvas coming in July 5th, the Chuck 70 Converse Renew Denim following in August, and the Converse Renew Cotton to be released early next year.
