Chinatown Market Works on the New PUMA Future Rider Silhouette

Believe it or not, German sportswear label PUMA has unfortunately often been overshadowed by other sporting goods manufacturers. Only a few releases from PUMA make it to the fore. But, with Chinatown Market, PUMA has found a really strong partner. Together with PUMA, the streetwear label takes a bold step forward and goes back to the sporty Future Rider, inspired by an iconic '80s sneaker.

Mike Cherman founded Chinatown Market in 2016, when the designer wanted to reflect the rebellious spirit of New York's Canal Street. With two new colourways, Cherman now takes control of the PUMA Future Rider and gives it a modern update. The sneakers have a transparent black or white ripstop nylon base. The heel counter, mudguard, and ankle are lined in suede, and there’s a leather Fromstrip on both sides. The shoe also comes with a leather lacing system with rope laces for a sleek look.

The rest of the details and side panels stick to the base in terms of colour. The mudguard, PUMA stripes, and heel are either black or white. In addition, Chinatown Market immortalizes itself with its logo on the tongue. Leather eyestays and yellow details complete the overall design.

This release from Chinatown Market x PUMA Future Rider is surely not one to be missed.

The first retailer already has the new Chinatown Market x PUMA Future Rider in its release calendar. 43 and a half announces the release of the sneakers for January 25th. The price of the sneakers is 120€, which is within the usual range.
