Brain Dead and Reebok Launch a Hairy Classic Leather

Update 16.06.2020

After we have gotten our first look in April, Brain Dead now delivers a full revelation of its upcoming collab with Reebok. On Instagram, the label shows the hairy sneaker, which is made of high-quality materials. This Classic Leather comes with an elegant leather and suede combination flooded with earthy tones.

The basis is a light and breathable black mesh, which is accentuated by the shaggy suede leather and forms the panels on the sides as well as along the back and front area. The Reebok Vector logo is made of smooth leather and stands out from the overall style, while the Reebok branding on the outer sides is replaced by a "brain dead" lettering. Finally, the innovative laces round off the overall design.

Brain Dead announces the release of the limited edition sneaker to happen on June 19th. We will keep our eyes open for further information.

Apparently Reebok and the Los Angeles-based Brain Dead brand are currently working together. On Instagram, designer and founder Kyle Ng has posted images of a collaborative Reebok Classic Leather that adopts a hairy scheme.

The iconic silhouette uses the classic canvas for an earthy brown upper and Brain Dead detailing, avoiding the usual drummed leather. Instead breathable mesh inserts are used underneath the fuzzy wuzzy leather. The designer also uses wild and contrasting laces.

The innovative laces tie the sneakers together, while the typical Reebok branding is replaced by Brain Dead's insignia. A similar suede is also found on the tongue, rounding off the design with co-brandings.

Don't Miss the Release of the Brain Dead x Reebok Classic Leather

Reebok and Kyle Ng have not planned a release yet. However, we expect the sneakers to be released on Reebok and at selected retailers soon.
