It was assumed that the collaborative sneakers from BAPE and adidas would drop last month. Now, BAPE has released the official images of two Superstars in black and white and "colour camo", scheduled for Saturday, February 27th. Unfortunately, however, the sneakers will only appear on bape.com and at Bape's flagship stores for 17,000 yen (approx. 130€).

A Bathing Ape looks back on its origins, releasing two sneakers with adidas at the beginning of the year. The original founder, Nigo, had previously often started the year with collaborative sneakers. Now, two Superstars are about to continue the legacy.

Even though the silhouette is celebrating its anniversary this year, rumours have it that BAPE and adidas will be dropping two issues a month after the anniversary and thus cementing the old partnership. Overall, the colourways are quite simple and do without the fancy colours or patterns.

Both BAPE x adidas Superstars seem to have a familiar leather base that stays clean. The sole as well as the shell toes are slightly yellowed and remind us of the early days of the Superstar. But the brandings differ from each other, as one pair gets a luxurious gold finish. The sneakers also have a camo print on the heels, which further emphasizes the collaboration.

The BAPE x adidas Superstars are scheduled for release in January 2021. The sneakers will probably only drop at adidas, but we will stay on it and inform you in time.
