Fashion enthusiasts have often debated high fashion and its appeal. Often the exorbitant prices and the rather questionable designs are the points that divide opinions. Balenciaga especially meets this debate, and the upcoming collaboration with adidas is now causing even more criticism.

Unlike the Balenciaga x adidas Triple S and the Sock Runner, the Balenciaga x adidas Stan Smith is a rather distorted interpretation of the original. The sneakers look like they are worn to the extreme, as they appear very flat and worn.

Rounded soles and used-look uppers are then affected, ultimately resulting in aged sneakers. The Balenciaga x adidas Stan Smith is released in three colourways, which we show you here.

Apart from a few co-brandings, the Stan Smiths from the Balenciaga x adidas collection have hardly been reworked. The high prices for the sneakers are all the more controversial. More details are not yet known, but they are said to be significantly higher than the normal price for an adidas Stan Smith.
