ASICS and Ronnie Fieg Show Their Decades-Long Partnership with the GEL-Lyte III "Super Blue"

The sneakers from the 10th anniversary of Ronnie Fieg and ASICS finally have an official release date! The collab showed up last week on IG, where Ronnie Fieg presented the ASICS GEL-LYTE III "Super Blue" and a GEL-LYTE 3.1 "Super Blue". The special feature of the 3.1 is the GEL LYTE lettering, which has been replaced by a GEL FIEG lettering.
The cooperation between the two partners is characterised by another special detail. The Kith designer is using high-quality pig suede leather on the ASICS sneakers for the very first time. The Super Blue Gel Lyte III consists of a light grey upper and blue tiger stripes, while the Gel Fieg has a navy blue upper and smooth leather stripes in the middle.

The works and unique design of Ronnie Fieg can be seen from several metres away. He has already proven many times that the ASICS GEL-Lyte III is one of the well-loved models from the running shoes range. Thanks to Kith founder, the silhouette received a new boost years ago. Popular models such as the "Flamingo" or the "Homage" are among the fiercest colourways the classic has ever received.
We know that the "Homage" was published four years ago. The two partners already celebrated the sneaker's 25th anniversary. This time, it's not the anniversary of the sneaker that will be celebrated, but the collaboration between the two.
To celebrate this milestone, Ronnie Fieg creates the GEL-Lyte 3.1 and GEL-Lyte III in a "Super Blue" colourway, which is a reference to his very first ASICS sneaker. Both silhouettes come in furry suede leather, but the colours are clearly different from each other. The GEL-Lyte III focuses on a bright contrast and comes in bone white. The GEL-Lyte 3.1, on the other hand, uses a dark navy blue and trades in the "GEL Lyte" lettering for a "GEL Fieg" branding.
