All Time High: Original Air - More Rarities by Michael Jordan Will Be Auctioned

Update 14.08.2020

A new record was set at Christie's auction. The auction house has now published the results of the "Original Air" auction and the prices are again absolutely insane.

In the auction, only original and worn sneakers by Michael Jordan were auctioned. Of course, there must be a new all-time high. Before that, the Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" were the most expensive sneakers. In May, the pair reached an impressive $560,000.

The "Original Air" auction at Christie's raised a total of $931,875. But, the biggest highlight was the Air Jordan 1 High "'Shattered Backboard' Origin Story" game-worn and signed sneaker. The pair was auctioned for $615,000. Here, you can find the results of the auction.

More rare sneakers will soon be auctioned on an auction platform. Thanks to the latest partnership between Stadium Goods and luxury auction house Christie's, historic models will soon leave the warehouse and go to the highest bidder.

Stadium Goods and Christie's released this news today. It will purely be an online auction and will be entitled, "Original Air: Michael Jordan Game-Worn and Player Exclusive Rarities". The auction will include a total of 11 sneakers, including the legendary Air Jordan 14 "Chicago" that MJ wore during his last training session for the Bulls, an Air Jordan 7 "Olympics" that Michael wore in the gold medal game during the 1992 Summer Olympics and the GOAT's first sneaker as an NBA professional, the Nike Air Ship.

When Does the Auction Start?

You will find the entire collection on christies.com/originalair on July 23rd, with the auction starting on July 30th and ending on August 13th. Hardcore fans can also travel to New York and see the entire collection at Christie's Gallery at 20 Rockefeller Plaza.

Most recently, the rare Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" was auctioned off. Will this collection break the record of $560,000?
