We haven't heard anything about the planned collaboration between Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance for a long time, but now official pictures of the three New Balance Rainier models have finally reached us. Our personal favourite is the purple/grey colourway. What is your opinion? We’re pretty sure it can't be long before the three sneakers are also released here.

Aimé Leon Dore actually has its roots in the lifestyle and casual category, but for the upcoming season, the label is letting go of formal styles. Instead, ALD pays a visit to the outdoor department to drop two Rainiers with long-time partner New Balance.

The New Balance Rainier has a boot-like silhouette and is made of robust materials that protect our feet in bad weather. This is ensured by classic textiles made of water-repellent GORE-TEX as well as CORDURA and soft suede. In addition, a traction-enhancing Vibram sole is provided underfoot to complete the trifecta of renowned manufacturers for the great outdoors.

So far, only these two Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Rainiers have been revealed, but rumour has it that more colourways may be on the way. These editions use either brown or blue hits for a seasonal look. Elsewhere, classic NB logos appear on the tongues and side panels, while a black sole spices up the overall design.

A matching clothing collection has reportedly been designed, but the details are still lacking. The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Rainier and Apparel are scheduled for release in autumn 2022. So, don't miss the updates as things drop soon.
