After the adidas Dame 8 surfaced on social media a few weeks ago, adidas has officially unveiled Lillard's next signature basketball shoe. According to adidas, the sneakers are inspired by the basketball player's tenacity on the court and boxer mentality. Underneath, the adidas Dame 8 will feature a lightweight Bounce Pro midsole and unique outsole that provide energy return, stability, as well as traction for dynamic movements.

The first version of the adidas Dame 8 was supposed to be released today, December 17th, but so far, the sneakers have not been spotted on the release calendar. In other regions, however, other colourways will drop on December 19th. Updates may follow in the next few hours.

Damian Lillard originally unveiled the Dame 8 in August, but we'll have to wait a long time for the official release. Rumour has it, however, that the new silhouette will be released later this year and in multiple colourways. The latest iteration is an adidas Dame 8 "Dame Time".

The new hardwood sneaker from adidas is the first model to be made of 50% recycled material. For adidas and Damian, it's a very strong performance in this area. Lightweight mesh and a comfortable synthetic overlay make up the upper construction. In terms of colours, the adidas Dame 8 "Dame Time" focuses on pastel yellow and purple.

Underneath, we also find "DAME" branding on the heels and typical Three Stripes on the sides. For ultimate comfort and enhanced performance, adidas adds a new BOUNCE PRO midsole, with traction-enhancing outsoles for an increased grip.

The adidas Dame 8 "Dame Time" will soon drop at adidas and selected retailers. The release date is currently set for December 17th for $110. Check out the official pictures here.
