Would you believe that the Torsion technology is already thirty years old? Exactly! And, adidas Originals is celebrating this with a big "30 Years of Torsion" collection that includes four incredibly cool silhouettes: A ZX 5000, ZX 6000, ZX 7000, and a ZX 9000.

But wait, what is the Torsion System technology again? adidas' Torsion System supports the arch of the foot by giving it optimum flexibility and stability in the back and forefoot. The torsion movement itself is a natural rotational movement between the back and the forefoot. Thanks to adidas Originals and its unique Torsion System, we've been walking around "healthy" in our shoes for almost 30 years now, protecting our feet’s natural torsion movement.

This collection of four is available in a variety of colours inspired by retro colorways from the ‘80s and the ‘90s. The sneakers still have their OG shape with a mesh base, suede and plastic overlays plus a large Trefoil logo on the tongue. The anniversary is marked with a special "30 Years of Torsion" on the lace locks and the insole.

The release dates of the individual sneakers are already on hand at selected retailers. The ZX 5000 drops on August 10th, the ZX 6000 on August 17th., the ZX 7000 on August 24th, and the ZX 9000 on August 31st.
