adidas won’t just let bad weather pass Herzogenaurach by, as the Three Stripes brand is now preparing for the cold days by incorporating the GORE-TEX technology in the popular Stan Smith silhouette.

The two brands are relying on their latest insulation technology and using it in this adidas classic. GORE-TEX's new Infinium™ Thermium™ technology is a wafer-thin membrane that provides perfect insulation by replacing the usual leather from the toe box—the part of the foot that freezes fastest.

The shape of this latest Stan Smith has not changed at all. The upper is still made of the same classic white leather contrasted by a green heel insert and cream outsole. The design is rounded off by the typical Stan Smith logo on the tongue and the perforated Three Stripes on the sides. GORE-TEX immortalizes itself with a woven GORE-TEX Infinium label and branding on the heel.
